The Southwest Journal of Medicine

The Southwest Respiratory and Critical Care Chronicles published its first issue in 2013. The initial issues focused on respiratory and critical care medicine. Over time the Journal included other topics such as case reports, statistics, medical images, and topics unrelated to either respiratory medicine or critical care medicine. Discussions with the Editorial Board resulted in a decision to change the title of the Journal to reflect this change in focus. The SWRCCC will now be called the Southwest Journal of Medicine (SWJM).

The next issue will be published under this new title. We hope this will broaden interest in the Southwest Journal of Medicine and its contents. We also hope that it will increase the number of submissions since the focus of the Journal is no longer as narrow. We would appreciate feedback from individuals regarding suggestions for improvements for the SWJM. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, please contact the Editor.
