Journal Summary Through 2021

Abstract

This is a summary of Journal activity through the end of calendar year 2021.  The Southwest Respiratory and Critical Care Chronicles has published quarterly issues and supplements for 9 years.  At present the articles have 557 citations.  The citations for the top 10 articles ranged from 7 citations to 69 citations.   The number of DOI resolutions provided by Cross Ref during 2021 was 26,452. The number of website visitors in 2021 based on Google Analytics was 25,623 with 54,308 page views.  Only 68.3 % of these visitors were from the United States.  The journal has published 38 articles related to the COVID-19 pandemic.  At least 10 of these articles have had citations, and the number of citations ranges from 1-13.  Overall, these statistics indicate that the journal creates articles that have significant interest to other clinicians and researchers and can contribute to future studies and publications.  In addition, the journal has contributed to information related to an ongoing worldwide pandemic.  The journal is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals and citations for individual authors can be found in Google Scholar.
